Lohr Distributing Co. strike enters fourth week
Union workers for Lohr Distributing Co., an Anheuser-Busch distributor in the brewers home town of St. Louis, have been on strike since May 22, leading some bars and restaurants to stop serving A-B products in support of the striking workers.
The Anheuser-Busch taps are still flowing at Busch Stadium, though striking Lohr workers have leafleted outside of St. Louis Cardinals games, asking fans to consider boycotting A-B products in the city temporarily.
Restaurants, bars and stores within the city are taking different approaches to the strike. Some stockpiled Anheuser-Busch products before the strike began while a few are posting signs telling customers they aren’t selling Anheuser-Busch products in support of the Lohr workers.
Dan McKay, president of the local, said the roughly 25 Lohr distributing workers and another dozen who work as needed, haven’t had a contract with Lohr Distributing since February.
Lohr distributes A-B products within the city limits. Anheuser-Busch wholesalers outside of St. Louis proper are unaffected by the walkout.More from https://www.ace-chn.com/Brewing-Equipment/
