KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that the price of petrol cannot be lowered to RM1.50 per litre due to the current price of crude oil.

Anwar said the current price of petrol in Malaysia was still low compared to other countries,

"The price of petrol in Malaysia is still low at RM2.05 per litre, compared to Saudi Arabia which sets it at (the equivalent of) RM2.84 per litre."

As such, said Anwar, it was not right that the proposal he put forward in 2018 continues to be manipulated by certain quarters without taking into account current developments.

"At that time (2018), the price of petrol in Saudi Arabia was 50 cents per litre, while in Malaysia it was RM2.21 per litre.

"Now that I have become the prime minister, what is the price of petrol?

"Petrol in Saudi Arabia is RM2.84 per litre, while in Malaysia it is RM2.05 per litre.

"We have to take this into account, the rise or fall of petrol prices where it means that our prices are still low.

"Therefore, it is not accurate for you (opposition members) to continue using comments made together when we were in Pakatan Rakyat, before," he said in his speech during the winding up session of the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP) mid-term review at the Dewan Rakyat, here, today.

Dekat setahun ni jadi PM tak nampak apa kemajuan significant yang dia capai selain tour sana-sini.

Sorry not sorry...janji dia yg baru2 ni pun dia tak tepati.. tetiba leh bercium dgn wak jahit..terpaling munafik..kalau jibby ke abahkau ke dah tentu2 ko nmpk mmg jahat depan2..tgk pun tau..tp dia ni acah2 baik tp tetibahhh wau..bercium ngan wak jahit??
